Why This Exists
"Nothing is Lost. Everything is Logic."

People don't keep objects. They keep memories, possibilities, identity, and stories. But those things disappear — in estate sales, in dumpsters, in the brains of the people who cared about them and then died. HIL exists because every death is a catastrophic information loss event. This wiki is how you stop that.

Write the life manual that tells the whole story. Document what you built, what you know, where things are, and why they matter. The format is structured so any AI can read it, any person can navigate it, and any machine can act on it. That's not a feature — that's the point.

Provenance Record
The stories attached to objects. Where something came from. Why it matters. Who owned it. What it means. Not just inventory — the context that makes objects more than stuff.

Competency Passport
Skills you've developed, certifications earned elsewhere, things you've built and can prove. The Guild doesn't issue credentials — it gives you infrastructure to document the ones you earned.

Life Manual
The document no will ever contains. The context behind the decisions, the values, the instructions for what happens to your things. Written while you still can write it.

AI-Readable Index
Every page you build follows HIL Grammar. That means any AI — here, at home, or on your own server — can query your knowledge base without you having to re-explain yourself every time.

Every page you write, every edit you make, every page you delete — your repo has the full history. When you're ready to run your own Wiki.js, point it at that repo and everything migrates cleanly. Zero data loss, full history intact. We're temporary. Your data is permanent.

The format is the portability.
STD-WIKI-001 pages are plain markdown with structured frontmatter. They work in Wiki.js, Obsidian, Notion, a text editor, or a GitHub repo directly. No proprietary lock-in. The grammar travels wherever the files go — including into a local AI running on your own hardware.

The Incubator is a launchpad, not a destination.
When you're ready to own your own infrastructure, HIL will help you get there. Self-host on a home server, a TrueNAS box, or a VPS — your wiki goes with you. That's the graduation path, and it's built into the model from day one.
